Date written : 25/02/2026

The purpose of this policy is to describe how cookies and other trackers are managed by users within Bitstack, the purposes of the cookies that are placed, and the ways to configure them.

Preamble

When you browse our website bitstack-app.com (the “Site”) and/or the Bitstack mobile application (the “Application”), information relating to the browsers used may be stored in files installed on your devices (any hardware such as your computer, tablet, smartphone, etc.), subject to the choices you make regarding cookies and/or trackers, which you may change at any time.

1. Cookie: what is it?

A cookie/tracker, broadly speaking, covers all text, image or software files containing information that are stored on the hard drive of the device you use (e.g., computer, tablet, smartphone, or any device enabling Internet browsing) when visiting a website and/or using an application via your browsing software. It is sent by the server of a website to your browser. A cookie file may relate in particular to pages visited, advertisements you clicked on, the type of browser you use, and your IP addresses, and enables its issuer to identify the device on which it is stored for the duration of the cookie’s validity or storage period.

The placement and/or reading of these cookies and trackers may allow us to access your browsing data and, depending on the case, personal data about you.

Some cookies improve your browsing comfort on our Site and/or Application and are essential to access certain secure areas and to ensure the proper functioning of the Site and/or Application. If you decide to block all cookies through your internet browser, you will only be able to visit the public portion of our Site and will no longer be able to access your secure customer area. You can reverse this decision at any time by objecting to the placement of cookies.

2. The different types of cookies

We use five (5) categories of cookies, whose purposes are described below. Certain technical cookies are essential for the proper functioning of the Site and/or Application, for optimization of the Site and/or Application, or for navigation. Their deletion may cause navigation difficulties and may make it impossible to subscribe to our services online.

Technical cookies or cookies strictly necessary for the operation of the Site and/or Application

Technical cookies are strictly necessary for the operation and navigation of the Site and/or Application and enable the use of the main features of the Site and/or Application. In particular, they allow: (i) management of your session and access to restricted areas, (ii) implementation of security measures (for example, when you are asked to log in again after a certain period of time), and (iii) enabling or facilitating communications for the provision of an electronically supplied service that you have expressly requested.

These cookies are issued and placed by Bitstack.

Audience measurement cookies

These cookies collect information about how you use our Site and/or Application (e.g., number of visits, most visited pages, etc.). They enable the creation of traffic analytics statistics, based on which the content of our Site and/or Application is improved depending on the success of a given page with our visitors. As such, they help improve the relevance and usability of our services and the products offered through interactions on our Site and/or Application.

Depending on the tool and its configuration, certain audience measurement cookies may be exempt from consent where they are strictly necessary to provide the service or meet the exemption conditions set out by applicable regulations; in other cases, they are placed only after your consent has been obtained.

Sharing cookies (social networks) collected by third parties

Our Site and/or Application may contain sharing buttons (“plug-ins”) for Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, YouTube, and Instagram, allowing you to share content with others. When you use these buttons, your browser may connect to the servers of the relevant social networks and a third-party cookie may be placed, only after your consent has been obtained where required.

If you are logged into the social network while browsing, the sharing buttons may link the content you view to your user account.

In this context, the purposes and scope of the use of your data, any additional processing, and your rights will be governed by the privacy policies of the social network providers and are under their sole responsibility.

Targeted or advertising cookies

These cookies collect information about the browsing of your device on our Site and/or Application in order to offer you targeted advertisements that are adapted to and/or correspond to your interests. They allow us to tailor the advertising content displayed on your device in our advertising spaces based on the browsing information collected. We may also, subject to your choice, associate browsing information relating to your devices collected through cookies we place with your personal data transmitted to us when you access your personal area, in order to send you, for example, electronic commercial offers/proposals or to display on our advertising spaces or on our partners’ websites (third-party sites) personalized advertisements specifically intended for you and likely to be of personal interest.

These cookies also allow us to limit the number of times an advertisement is displayed and help us assess the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns.

The data collected by Bitstack is not transferred to third parties or used for other purposes.

Content personalization cookies (where applicable)

These cookies allow certain content displayed on the Site and/or Application to be adapted based on your preferences (e.g., language, layout, highlighted content). When they are not strictly necessary for the operation of the Site and/or Application, these cookies are placed only after your consent has been obtained.

3. Cookies exempt from consent and cookies requiring consent

Cookies that may be placed without consent

Certain cookies do not require your consent, namely:

  • technical and functional cookies necessary to operate the Site and/or Application; and
  • where applicable, certain audience measurement and/or testing cookies (A/B testing) when they meet the exemption conditions provided by applicable regulations and are configured accordingly.

Acceptance or refusal of cookies requiring your express consent

All other cookies require your consent, including:

  • advertising cookies;
  • social network cookies;
  • content personalization cookies (when not strictly necessary); and
  • certain audience measurement cookies (when they do not fall under an exemption).

You are free to accept or refuse the use of these cookies during your first visit to the Site and/or Application.

Your choices to accept or refuse cookies will be stored for a period of six (6) months.

You are free to withdraw your consent and more generally to change your preferences at any time via the consent management tool or via the procedure described below.

4. Exercising data subject rights

To the extent that personal data may be processed when cookies are placed by Bitstack or its partners, a user may exercise their rights (access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction, etc.), in particular through the consent management tool and/or by contacting Bitstack via the means indicated in the privacy policy.

5. How to manage and configure cookies
