Bitstack is now registered with the AMF as a Digital Asset Services Provider (PSAN).

Recorded under the number E2021—027, Bitstack is now authorized to launch its business in France to provide activities for the purchase/sale of digital assets for legal tender and the custody of digital assets on behalf of third parties.

What is PSAN status?

Registration as a Digital Asset Service Provider (PSAN) granted by the Autorité des Marches Financiers (AMF) and the Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution (ACPR) has been mandatory in France since 2020 to legally exercise certain activities in connection with the cryptocurrency market, such as bitcoin.

The PSAN specifies a specific environment for actors wishing to offer services related to digital assets to French users, with the establishment of a customer knowledge system (KYC) and a strict policy to combat money laundering and the financing of terrorism (LCB-FT).

These measures allow us to offer a secure solution that respects the regulatory framework defined by French regulators in order to operate legally and protect our users from the risks associated with financial flows.
